Preventative Care

Many diseases of the rectum and colon can be prevented by getting screened early and often. Obtain a referral from your primary care physician today and call to schedule an appointment. We look forward to hearing from you.

We offer diagnostic procedures  for many acute symptoms such as a change in your normal bowel habits, blood in your stool, unusual abdominal or gas pains, narrowing of stool, a feeling that the bowel has not emptied completely, unexplained weight loss, fatigue, anemia (low blood count), difficulty swallowing, and so much more. If you suffer from any acute symptoms, we might be able to help.

A chronic condition(s) or disease(s) you may be suffering with can include: GERD, colorectal cancer, diarrhea, hemorrhoids, anal fissures, nausea and vomiting, constipation, irritable bowel, Crohn's disease, gas, bloating, diverticular disease, colon polyps or colitis. Popular Procedures Provided

Appendectomy

Cholecystectomy

Cholecystectomy

An appendectomy is a surgical procedure to take out the appendix. The appendix is a finger-like structure that is attached to the large intestine. The procedure may be done to prevent an inflamed appendix from bursting (rupturing). It may also be done to treat the infection from an appendix that has already ruptured.

Cholecystectomy

Cholecystectomy

Cholecystectomy

A cholecystectomy is a surgical procedure to remove the gallbladder. The gallbladder stores bile, which is a fluid that helps you to digest fats. Cholecystectomy is often done to treat inflammation of the gallbladder (cholecystitis). This condition is usually caused by a buildup of gallstones (cholelithiasis) in the gallbladder.

Colectomy

Cholecystectomy

Colonoscopy

A colectomy is a surgical procedure to remove part or all of the large intestine (colon). This procedure may be used to treat: diverticulitis, tumors or masses in the colon, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Crohn's disease, Ulcerative Colitis, bleeding from the colon that cannot be controlled by another method, or blockage or obstruction of the colon.

Colonoscopy

Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)

Colonoscopy

A colonoscopy is a minimally invasive procedure used to look inside the colon and rectum with a colonoscope, which has a light and video camera on the end. This procedure can be done to check for problems, such as: lumps (tumors), growths (polyps), irritations and swelling (inflammation), or bleeding.

Colostomy/Colostomy Reversal

Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)

Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)

A colostomy is a surgical procedure that is done to attach part of the colon to the front of the abdomen (abdominal wall). The colon is the last part of the digestive tract. It is where water is absorbed from digested food to form stool. A colostomy is done to redirect stool through an opening (stoma) of the abdominal wall.

A colostomy reversal is a surgical procedure done to reverse the colostomy.

Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)

Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)

Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)

An EGD is a minimally invasive procedure to examine the lining of the esophagus, stomach, and first part of the small intestine (duodenum).  During your procedure, a small flexible tube (endoscope) is passed through your mouth and down your esophagus into your stomach. This procedure can be done to diagnose cancers of the upper GI tract or to find the cause of other conditions, such as: stomach pain, heartburn, pain or problems swallowing, nausea and vomiting, stomach bleeding, or stomach ulcers.

Hemorrhoidectomy

Hernia (Ventral/Inguinal) Repair

Hernia (Ventral/Inguinal) Repair

Surgical procedures can be used to treat hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids are swollen veins that are inside the rectum (internal) or around the anus (external). They are cause by increased pressure in the anal area. This pressure may result from straining to have a bowel movement (constipation), diarrhea, pregnancy, obesity, or sitting for long periods of time.

Hernia (Ventral/Inguinal) Repair

Hernia (Ventral/Inguinal) Repair

Hernia (Ventral/Inguinal) Repair

A ventral hernia repair is a procedure to fix a bulge of tissue that pushes through a weak area of muscle in the abdomen (above the belly button - epigastric or at the belly button - umbilical)

An inguinal hernia repair is surgical procedure to repair a small weak spot in the groin muscles that allows fat or intestine from inside the abdomen to bulge out.

Orchiectomy

Hernia (Ventral/Inguinal) Repair

Laparoscopic Nissen Fundoplication

An orchiectomy is a surgical procedure to remove one or both of the testicles. It is most often done to treat cancer of the testicles. It can also be done to prevent cancer in men whose testicles did not develop normally. An orchiectomy may also be needed when an injury to a testicle cannot be repaired. The testicles can be replaced with artificial testicles (prostheses)

Laparoscopic Nissen Fundoplication

Transoral Incisionless Fundoplication (TIF)

Laparoscopic Nissen Fundoplication

Nissen fundoplication is a surgery to relieve heartburn and other problems caused by gastric fluids flowing up into your esophagus. The esophagus is the part of the body that moves food from your mouth to your stomach. Normally, the muscle that sits between your stomach and your esophagus (lower esophageal sphincter, LES) keeps stomach fluid in your stomach. In some people, the LES does not work properly, and stomach fluids flow up into the esophagus. The backward flow of stomach fluids can cause severe, long- lasting heartburn called gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

Lumpectomy/Mastectomy

Transoral Incisionless Fundoplication (TIF)

Transoral Incisionless Fundoplication (TIF)

A lumpectomy or partial mastectomy is a surgical procedure to remove a cancerous tumor or mass (lump) from a breast. This is a form of breast-conserving or breast-preservation surgery. This means that the cancerous tissue is removed but the breast remains intact.

A total mastectomy or modified radical mastectomy is a surgical procedure that is done as part of breast cancer treatment. Both types involve removing the breast.

Transoral Incisionless Fundoplication (TIF)

Transoral Incisionless Fundoplication (TIF)

Transoral Incisionless Fundoplication (TIF)

A TIF is a procedure to rebuild the valve between the stomach and esophagus. A TIF is done to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a condition in which acid from your stomach flows up into your esophagus (reflux) and causes heartburn.
